My name is Marcela Martinez and I am the kindergarten teacher. I have been teaching the Montessori method for more than 15 years, working with students from kindergarten and first grade. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and also a Montessori degree. I believe in creating a supportive classroom where student feel seen and heard. I am passionate about helping every student reach their full potential, both academically and personally. My goal is to create a classroom environment where every student feels value and motivated to succeed so I am looking forward to inspire my students and help them to bloom. I’m proud to be part of this school community and look forward to a great year of learning together.
Hi, I’m Ms. Alayna Alvarez also known as Ms. A! I am so excited to be the Kindergarten Math and Science teacher this year. I have had a passion for education ever since the fourth grade, when I was often asked to read my essays aloud or help tutor classmates. While many kids enjoyed being outside in P.E., I loved being in the classroom—so it worked out perfectly! I’ve been fortunate to work with children for many years, and I knew early on that teaching was my true calling. I can’t wait to spark curiosity, build strong connections, and make this the BEST year yet for my students!
Hi, my name is Karyna but the majority of the school calls me Sunny because it's easier , and I’m so happy to be part of the Kindergarten team! I first got involved here in the PTA moving on to President, and being active in our school community inspired me to take on this role. I have two children currently attending the school, so it means a lot to me to help create a caring and fun learning environment for all of our little ones. I’m also a student myself, and I love showing my kids that learning never stops no matter your age. I was born and raised in Florida, and my background is a mix of Panamanian and Chilean roots, which I’m very proud of. I look forward to supporting our teachers, families, and most importantly, our amazing students!
